Long exposure of Fish Tail Mountain (Machhapuchhre), the holiest mountain in Nepal. It’s so holy in fact, that climbing it is illegal.
This picture was taken during full moon in January 2013. The fog that engulfed us for most of the day finally descended into the valley during the night, forming a beautiful white lake of clouds washing around the foothills of the 7000m giants.
The “Baby Taj”, properly known as the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah, is the much smaller cousin of the Taj Mahal, but also much less crowded and has a lot more detailed carving and stone-work. There were only a handful visitors walking around, so it felt quite relaxing!
